“Travel in a Bygone Time”
Many of us, however, remember those days when flying meant dressing up in our fancy clothes.
|We sometimes take travel for granted in our fast-paced 21st century lives. In an even earlier era, trips might involve trains or ships – and many days.|
The museum opened its doors for the first time during the Bass Derby in October 1975. The Rio Vista Museum came about as a result of the country’s 1976 Bicentennial. People of the surrounding area contributed historical artifacts and the community has incorporated its own unique history into the museum. Volunteers make it possible to view the museum.

SPEAKING OF VOLUNTEERS…
Have you got a little spare time? Operating our museum is a fun way to discover our town’s history, and you don’t have to be a genius to do it. We could use a little help between 1:30 and 4:30 weekend afternoons. If you can help, please email Phil Pezzaglia. As an alternative, you may contact Phil by Telephone at: 707-374-6509 (home) or Cell: 707-333-4461.
Your museum volunteers work hard to preserve local historic artifacts, but we must meet expenses to insure and maintain the building and its contents. We are we are very grateful for all donations to keep the museum open. If you’d care to help, you may do so using the PayPal “Donate” button below.
